What Premium Service does Prob8 provide?
The Prob8 Premium Service has been designed to provide a complete online estate administration service. From obtaining a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration to settling debts, paying inheritance tax and distributing assets, we take care of everything at what can be a difficult time.
The Prob8 Premium Service is a unique service offered by Whitehead Monckton, a leading law firm based in Kent.
Prob8 will also be able to assist you with other things that may crop up during the estate administration process, such as selling the house or shares, carrying out inheritance tax planning, dealing with foreign assets or even dealing with estate disputes, also known as contentious probate (when someone contests a will). Although these are additional services which attract separate charges, you will be given a clear idea of what is involved, how much it will cost and the likely timescales involved.
How does it work?
We’ve designed our Prob8 Premium Service to be as simple and hassle free as possible. Once you have registered with the Service we will send you envelopes so you can bundle up all the paperwork that we will need to administer the estate. All you then need to do is send everything to us and we will take it from there.

We have put together a simple list of all the things you will need to look for so that we can get on with the job.
What happens next?
Once you have registered with the Prob8 Premium Service you will be assigned your own dedicated specialist probate lawyer who will do administer the entire estate for you. Once we have received all the papers we need we will then obtain the valuations. Thereafter, we can then get the Grant of Probate, collect in the assets, pay the debts and distribute the balance to the beneficiaries.
How can I check up on my application?
Throughout the process you can keep up to date with your online probate progress by logging in to your Prob8 Premium Service account and review the tasks we have completed. Your account will also provide comprehensive financial information telling you about the valuations your probate lawyer has been given, the monies we have successfully collected and the liabilities that have been paid.
How much will it cost?
Our fee is simply a fixed percentage of the gross value of the estate (i.e. the value of all the assets in the estate at the date of death which need to be administered by the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration). Our Prob8 Premium Service charges a fixed fee of 1.5% of the gross value of the estate, subject to a minimum charge of £1,250 plus VAT.
We will give 5% of our estate administration fee to a charity of your choice at the end of the matter.
How will the charity gift work?
Once we have worked out what the gross value of the estate is, we will be able to calculate our fixed fee of which we will donate 5% to a charity of your choice. We shall ask you who you would like us to make the donation to and at the end of the case we shall send the donation to your charity and forward their receipt to you.
You can use this gift however you like. Often after a family death, a beneficiary will use it to say thank you to a charity that may have helped their loved one or help further research in to something which may have been close to their heart. The choice is yours.
